Colourism: A form of racial discrimination that stems from racism based on one’s skin-tone. A prejudice you see happening from within the community as well as from outside. It’s the favour of lighter skin compared to darker skin.

With this piece, the claw machine symbolises the idea of having control over what is desired, preferred or deemed beautiful but like in reality, the claw machine doesn’t always have control.
